Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work With Ice in Mouth by Leo Gabin. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,292.00 (€ 5,876.31). Admittedly, works by Leo Gabin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French Braid Tutorial in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 37,614.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit With Ice in Mouth von Leo Gabin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.292,00 (€ 5.876,31) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leo Gabin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French Braid Tutorial im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 37.614,82).
