Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Marching Band Does it Again by Leo Gabin. The price achieved of GBP 313.00 (€ 353.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leo Gabin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Braid Tutorial in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 37,614.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marching Band Does it Again von Leo Gabin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 313,00 (€ 353,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leo Gabin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Braid Tutorial im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 37.614,82).
