Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Women in a Lembah by Leo Eland was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,625.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leo Eland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House, which sold at auction in March 2013 for EUR 5,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Women in a Lembah von Leo Eland kam im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Leo Eland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House beobachtet, die im März 2013 für EUR 5.000,00 versteigert wurde.
