The result of EUR 1,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Leo Eland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House in March 2013 with an auction result of EUR 5,000.00.

Die Arbeit Landscape with workers on the rice fields von Leo Eland kam im März 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leo Eland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.000,00.
