Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations, which included the work Sunset at an Indonesian bay by Leo Eland. The price achieved of EUR 625.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Leo Eland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House in March 2013 with an auction result of EUR 5,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset at an Indonesian bay von Leo Eland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 625,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leo Eland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.000,00.
