In the Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations auction, the work Batak houses, Sumatra changed hands for EUR 750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Leo Eland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House in March 2013 with an auction result of EUR 5,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Leo Eland konnte im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations wechselte die Arbeit Batak houses, Sumatra für EUR 750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leo Eland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.000,00.
