Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lee Miller could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Portrait Of Eugene Berman changed hands for USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,708.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 504,000.00 (€ 418,952.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lee Miller konnte im April 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Portrait Of Eugene Berman für USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.708,69) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lee Miller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 418.952,62).
