Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Carousel Cows by Lee Miller was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October 2015. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,584.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 504,000.00 (€ 418,952.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Carousel Cows von Lee Miller kam im Oktober 2015 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.584,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lee Miller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 418.952,62).
