Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work The Donkey Ride by Lawson Wood. The price achieved of GBP 660.00 (€ 978.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Lawson Wood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gran'pop starts a poultry farm in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,411.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Donkey Ride von Lawson Wood zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 978,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lawson Wood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gran'pop starts a poultry farm im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.411,05).
