Sold at the upper estimate price
The work 'Going our way' by Lawson Wood was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2007. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.28), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lawson Wood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gran'pop starts a poultry farm, which sold at auction in December 2002 for GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,411.05).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit 'Going our way' von Lawson Wood kam im Juli 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.782,28) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lawson Wood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gran'pop starts a poultry farm beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.411,05) versteigert wurde.
