Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Dinner At 8!" by Lawson Wood was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,134.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lawson Wood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gran'pop starts a poultry farm, which sold at auction in December 2002 for GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,411.05).

Die Arbeit "Dinner At 8!" von Lawson Wood kam im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.134,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lawson Wood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gran'pop starts a poultry farm beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.411,05) versteigert wurde.
