Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lawson Wood could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work "Gran'Pop Goes Carolling" changed hands for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,422.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lawson Wood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gran'pop starts a poultry farm, which sold at auction in December 2002 for GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,411.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lawson Wood konnte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit "Gran'Pop Goes Carolling" für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.422,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lawson Wood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gran'pop starts a poultry farm beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.411,05) versteigert wurde.
