Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Bonbon by Laurence Jenkell was worth GBP 161,000.00 (€ 193,252.54) to a buyer in June 2016. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Laurence Jenkell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of USD 325,000.00 (€ 294,945.09).
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Bonbon von Laurence Jenkell war einem Käufer im Juni 2016 GBP 161.000,00 (€ 193.252,54) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Laurence Jenkell; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir im November 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 294.945,09).
