The work Bonbon by Laurence Jenkell was worth GBP 161,000.00 (€ 193,252.54) to a buyer in June 2016. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Laurence Jenkell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of USD 325,000.00 (€ 294,945.09).
