Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Flower Detail' by Laura Gilpin for USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,721.88). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laura Gilpin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Ranchos Church', which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 26,541.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Flower Detail' von Laura Gilpin für USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.721,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Laura Gilpin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Ranchos Church' beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 26.541,53) versteigert wurde.
