The work Untitled Xii by Latifa Echakhch was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2018. It achieved a price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,830.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Latifa Echakhch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sitting on Haunches Behind the Bushes Until There is No Longer Any Noise and Breathing Slowly. Then Stand Up and Walk Away in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 134,500.00 (€ 182,644.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled Xii von Latifa Echakhch kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.830,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Latifa Echakhch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sitting on Haunches Behind the Bushes Until There is No Longer Any Noise and Breathing Slowly. Then Stand Up and Walk Away im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 134.500,00 (€ 182.644,53).
