Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work There is Tears/ Even this wouldn't be so bad, but in our society at least, being emotional is often seen as negative by Latifa Echakhch was auctioned at Christies in Paris in December 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Latifa Echakhch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sitting on Haunches Behind the Bushes Until There is No Longer Any Noise and Breathing Slowly. Then Stand Up and Walk Away in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 134,500.00 (€ 182,644.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit There is Tears/ Even this wouldn't be so bad, but in our society at least, being emotional is often seen as negative von Latifa Echakhch im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 25.000,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Latifa Echakhch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sitting on Haunches Behind the Bushes Until There is No Longer Any Noise and Breathing Slowly. Then Stand Up and Walk Away im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 134.500,00 (€ 182.644,53).
