Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Tambour 77 by Latifa Echakhch. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 56,384.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Latifa Echakhch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sitting on Haunches Behind the Bushes Until There is No Longer Any Noise and Breathing Slowly. Then Stand Up and Walk Away, which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 134,500.00 (€ 182,644.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tambour 77 von Latifa Echakhch zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 56.384,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Latifa Echakhch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sitting on Haunches Behind the Bushes Until There is No Longer Any Noise and Breathing Slowly. Then Stand Up and Walk Away beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für GBP 134.500,00 (€ 182.644,53) versteigert wurde.
