Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Larry Poons achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,554.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Poons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jessica's Hartford in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,150,000.00 (€ 1,043,651.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Larry Poons erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 44.100,00 (€ 37.554,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Poons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jessica's Hartford im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.150.000,00 (€ 1.043.651,87).
