Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Larry Poons achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in October 2021. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work The Rock of Summer sold for USD 87,500.00 (€ 75,744.46) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Poons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jessica's Hartford in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,150,000.00 (€ 1,043,651.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Larry Poons erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wurde die Arbeit The Rock of Summer für USD 87.500,00 (€ 75.744,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Poons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jessica's Hartford im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.150.000,00 (€ 1.043.651,87).
