Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lari Pittman could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in March 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work All That Glitters is Gold from 1989 changed hands for USD 956.00 (€ 814.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lari Pittman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 204,657.09).
