Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work View by Lao Lianben. The price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 16,881.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lao Lianben have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Meditation 3 in May this year with an auction result of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 105,717.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit View von Lao Lianben zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 16.881,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lao Lianben auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Meditation 3 im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 105.717,48).
