The work Secret by Lao Lianben was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,541.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Admittedly, works by Lao Lianben have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Meditation 3 in May this year with an auction result of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 105,717.48).

Die Arbeit Secret von Lao Lianben kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.541,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lao Lianben auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Meditation 3 im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 105.717,48).
