The work Presence 10 by Lao Lianben was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The auction ended at the price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 23,535.85), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lao Lianben have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Meditation 3 in May this year with an auction result of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 105,717.48).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Presence 10 von Lao Lianben kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 23.535,85) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lao Lianben auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Meditation 3 im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 105.717,48).
