Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Levitation 3 by Lao Lianben was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,984.33). Admittedly, works by Lao Lianben have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Meditation 3 in May this year with an auction result of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 105,717.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Levitation 3 von Lao Lianben wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.984,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lao Lianben auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Meditation 3 im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 105.717,48).
