A top price for Lao Lianben
This artwork by Lao Lianben achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. In the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Meditation 3 sold for HKD 882,000.00 (€ 105,717.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 380,000.00. This high result makes Meditation 3 the most expensive artwork by Lao Lianben that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lao Lianben erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Meditation 3 für HKD 882.000,00 (€ 105.717,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 380.000,00.
