The work Moonfish by Guo Bochuan was sold in the 20th Century Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 28,468.44) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Bochuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Forbidden City in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 27,207,500.00 (€ 2,242,241.94).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Moonfish von Guo Bochuan wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 28.468,44) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Bochuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Forbidden City im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 27.207.500,00 (€ 2.242.241,94).
