Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Wax Apple And Melon by Guo Bochuan. The price achieved of HKD 312,500.00 (€ 28,859.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 280,000.00 – 380,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Bochuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Forbidden City in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 27,207,500.00 (€ 2,242,241.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wax Apple And Melon von Guo Bochuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 312.500,00 (€ 28.859,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 280.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Bochuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Forbidden City im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 27.207.500,00 (€ 2.242.241,94).
