Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Untitled (Painting with history) by Korakrit Arunanondchai. The price achieved of USD 47,880.00 (€ 43,162.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Korakrit Arunanondchai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (History Painting), which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 96,100.00 (€ 134,419.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Painting with history) von Korakrit Arunanondchai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 43.162,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Korakrit Arunanondchai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (History Painting) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 96.100,00 (€ 134.419,90) versteigert wurde.
