In September this year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Tropical Rhythm & Soul by Koichi Sato. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,590.00 (€ 20,398.72), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Koichi Sato achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April this year with an auction result of HKD 214,200.00 (€ 218,740.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tropical Rhythm & Soul von Koichi Sato zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.590,00 (€ 20.398,72) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Koichi Sato erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 214.200,00 (€ 218.740,11).
