Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Fall/Winter by Kiki Smith. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,875.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kiki Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 284,800.00 (€ 241,560.64).
