Auction result misses estimated price range

In the Photographs auction, the work A Rainy Commencement Ceremony Day; Commencement Ceremony from The Gion Quarter changed hands for GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,380.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Kiichi Asano have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2019 by the work 'A Rainy Commencement Ceremony', 1953; And Untitled (From The Series The Gion Quarter), 1956 at GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,074.63).
