Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Himi, February 1956 from Snow Country by Kiichi Asano. The price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,373.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kiichi Asano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'A Rainy Commencement Ceremony', 1953; And Untitled (From The Series The Gion Quarter), 1956, which sold at auction in May 2019 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,074.63).

Im Oktober 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Himi, February 1956 from Snow Country von Kiichi Asano zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.373,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kiichi Asano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'A Rainy Commencement Ceremony', 1953; And Untitled (From The Series The Gion Quarter), 1956 beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.074,63) versteigert wurde.
