Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kerry Stewart could be acquired at Christies in London in February 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY auction, the work Untitled (Pregnant Schoolgirl) changed hands for GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,489.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kerry Stewart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sleeping Nun, which sold at auction in February 2001 for GBP 7,637.50 (€ 11,966.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kerry Stewart konnte im Februar 2003 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Pregnant Schoolgirl) für GBP 2.390,00 (€ 3.489,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kerry Stewart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sleeping Nun beobachtet, die im Februar 2001 für GBP 7.637,50 (€ 11.966,14) versteigert wurde.
