This artwork by Ker-Xavier Roussel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2018. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Faune Dansant Au Tambourin sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,655.13) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ker-Xavier Roussel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Saisons de la vie in October this year with an auction result of EUR 201,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ker-Xavier Roussel erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Faune Dansant Au Tambourin für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.655,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ker-Xavier Roussel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Saisons de la vie im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 201.600,00.
