Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in Paris held the auction Art Moderne, which included the work Le Jardin by Ker-Xavier Roussel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 10,080.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ker-Xavier Roussel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Saisons de la vie in October this year with an auction result of EUR 201,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Jardin von Ker-Xavier Roussel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 10.080,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ker-Xavier Roussel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Saisons de la vie im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 201.600,00.
