In December 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Still Life #317, 1993 by Kenro Izu. The result of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,927.08) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Kenro Izu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Agra #43, India (Taj Mahal) in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,638.80).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life #317, 1993 von Kenro Izu zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.927,08) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kenro Izu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Agra #43, India (Taj Mahal) im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.638,80).
