Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Still Life #225, 1993 by Kenro Izu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,119.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Kenro Izu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Agra #43, India (Taj Mahal) in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,638.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life #225, 1993 von Kenro Izu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.119,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kenro Izu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Agra #43, India (Taj Mahal) im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.638,80).
