Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Palitana #453, Gujarat, India by Kenro Izu. The price achieved of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,435.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kenro Izu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Agra #43, India (Taj Mahal), which sold at auction in March 2018 for USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,638.80).
