Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in Online held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Pyramid Piece, 1993 by Kenneth Snelson. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,500.00 (€ 4,464.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kenneth Snelson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maquette in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 38,648.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in Online die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pyramid Piece, 1993 von Kenneth Snelson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.500,00 (€ 4.464,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kenneth Snelson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maquette im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 38.648,41).
