Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gittalore by Kenneth Snelson was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kenneth Snelson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maquette in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 38,648.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gittalore von Kenneth Snelson wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kenneth Snelson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maquette im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 38.648,41).
