Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2021 Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Pier and Ocean - Venice; and Four History Pictures A-D by Kenneth Martin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,764.00 (€ 2,055.52), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenneth Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chance and Order 18 (Black) in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 103,663.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pier and Ocean - Venice; and Four History Pictures A-D von Kenneth Martin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.764,00 (€ 2.055,52) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kenneth Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chance and Order 18 (Black) im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 103.663,87).
