This artwork by Kenneth Martin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2018. In the Modern British Art Day Sale auction, the work Screw Mobile sold for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,578.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kenneth Martin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Chance and Order 18 (Black) sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 103,663.87).
