It achieved a price of EUR 10,000.00 exceeding the estimate by 67% . Admittedly, works by Kendell Geers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 66,500.00 (€ 86,979.39).
Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Twilight of the idols von Kendell Geers wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Kunst nach 45 / Zeitgenössische Kunst bei Ketterer in München versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 10.000,00 und übertraf damit den zuvor vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreis um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kendell Geers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.500,00 (€ 86.979,39).
