Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Twilight of the Idols (115) by Kendell Geers was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,963.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kendell Geers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 66,500.00 (€ 86,979.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Twilight of the Idols (115) von Kendell Geers wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.963,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kendell Geers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.500,00 (€ 86.979,39).
