Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fuck by Kendell Geers was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,115.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kendell Geers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 66,500.00 (€ 86,979.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fuck von Kendell Geers kam im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.115,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kendell Geers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.500,00 (€ 86.979,39).
