Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Black Star Press; Star Press, Black Press, Star Press Star by Kelley Walker was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,190.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Kelley Walker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Black Star Press in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 572,750.00 (€ 652,107.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Black Star Press; Star Press, Black Press, Star Press Star von Kelley Walker kam im März 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 69.190,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
