Auction result well in line with expectations
The work schema; Aquafresh plus Crest with Whitening (riot) by Kelley Walker was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March this year. The price achieved of USD 11,430.00 (€ 10,513.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kelley Walker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Star Press in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 572,750.00 (€ 652,107.49).

Die Arbeit schema; Aquafresh plus Crest with Whitening (riot) von Kelley Walker kam im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.430,00 (€ 10.513,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kelley Walker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Star Press im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 572.750,00 (€ 652.107,49).
