Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Kelley Walker for USD 24,000.00 (€ 21,635.27). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War to Present at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kelley Walker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Star Press in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 572,750.00 (€ 652,107.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kelley Walker für USD 24.000,00 (€ 21.635,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kelley Walker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Star Press im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 572.750,00 (€ 652.107,49).
