Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in Brussels held the auction Belgian and contemporary art, which included the work Sans titre by Kelley Walker. The price achieved of EUR 12,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kelley Walker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Star Press in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 572,750.00 (€ 652,107.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Brüssel die Auktion Belgian and contemporary art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Kelley Walker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kelley Walker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Star Press im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 572.750,00 (€ 652.107,49).
