Signed with initials, dated and annotated 'E-8' in black felt-tip pen on the reverse, from the edition of 30 unique variants (there were also 5 artist's proofs), published by Arte y Naturaleza, Madrid.

Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Elliptical Suite #8, from Elliptical Shields Series V by Keith Sonnier was auctioned at Phillips in London in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,778.00 (€ 2,069.29). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Sonnier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,935.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Elliptical Suite #8, from Elliptical Shields Series V von Keith Sonnier im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.778,00 (€ 2.069,29) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Sonnier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.935,62).
